Holiday Rituals…
We all have them, don’t we? Even if we hate all the hustle and bustle, the decking of halls and the shopping till we drop. Whatever you traditionally do during the holidays, that’s
your personal holiday ritual. It’s inescapable. Mwahaha. Some people’s holiday rituals come down to refusing to have any.
Doesn’t matter. In my book, even if you’re a Holiday Scrooge and proud of it, well, you’ve still got your own rituals and they’re about
avoiding having anything to do with the holidays. I wrote a book about that once—lately, I must admit, it’s beginning to seem as if I wrote a book about
everything at least once. Hah—and where was I?
Oh, yeah.
Scrooge and the Single Girl, a Bravo story out in December of 2002 from Silhouette Special Edition, had a hero, Will Bravo, who did all in his power to avoid the holidays.
Didn’t do the poor man a bit of good. The holidays caught up with him, anyway. He even ended up enjoying them. Thanks to one Jillian Diamond, her free-range turkey, her cat and the ghost of Will’s loving, long-gone grandmother. Yep. Christmas found Will after all. I repeat:
Mwahaha.
This Christmas I have a whole new
Bravo Christmas story out from Signature Select. It’s a bigger, bolder, sexier—and longer—Bravo
story called Bravo
Unwrapped. And again, it’s got lotsa Christmas rituals, mostly those of the hero’s mother, Chastity. Chastity does Christmas like nobody’s business. Fresh-cut tree, Bing Crosby singing
White Christmas on the old-fashioned turntable, and of course lots of
Bravo sparks flying. I hope you’ll pick up a copy.
And, above all, may your holidays be joyful and filled with goodwill, good cheer and a whole lot of love!
Happy Holidays everyone,
Christine
